After renting for more than six years, it took him about a week from the inspection to start moving into his new place in St Kilda.

In his recent rental applications, Chris faced competition from up to 50 other people. He was often turned down because he is single, and many landlords prefer couples.

Even though his income and references were checked, he wasn’t asked for more personal details like bank balances, which some smaller landlords might request.

“A lot of small landlords can be very personal and watch you closely,” he said.

“But here, they trust me to be a good tenant based on my track record.”

He’s also enjoying many amenities, especially the co-working space. He uses the bowling alley, sauna, and lounge when he needs to relax.

“And I use the cold plunge pool every morning—no need for coffee after that,” he added.

Griffin is known for The Pocket, a podcast with over 44,000 listeners and 60,000 TikTok followers. The show explores the lives of business, wellness, and mindfulness experts, highlighting what makes their lives special.
