Family buys rare beach penthouse for $12.51M,

A triple-storey penthouse featuring breathtaking views of Noosa Main Beach was sold at an impressive price.

This sale occurred after it went to auction for the first time in 34 years since its construction.

Noosa real estate experts Tom Offermann and his daughter, Rebekah Offermann, listed the four-bedroom penthouse for sale.

They generated interest from more than 150 prospective buyers during the marketing process.

The demand highlights the penthouse’s unique appeal in the competitive Noosa real estate market.

As a result, it attracted significant attention from buyers seeking luxury properties.

Multiple bidders registered for the auction, which began with bidding at $8 million.

The bidding progressed rapidly, ultimately reaching $12.51 million.

This impressive amount was where the property sold under the hammer, resulting in loud applause and champagne popping.

Ms. Offermann mentioned that this was the third auction sale in the exclusive $10 million-plus sector.

In just two weeks, they had the privilege to handle sales totaling $42.5 million.

This included the sales of 38 Seaview Terrace for $13.1 million and 3 Allambi Rise for $16.9 million.

The new owners hailed from Victoria, which means all nine units in the building are now owned by Victorian families.

“We joked afterwards that they could now hold their body corporate meetings in Melbourne,” Ms. Offermann remarked.

The sale marked the closing of a circle for Mr. Offermann.

He had originally sold the stunning home overlooking Main Beach 34 years ago to the previous owners.

“It was an absolute joy for Rebekah and me to represent the owners,” he stated.

“I had helped them purchase it over 30 years ago. They bought it new, off the plan.”

“Their love for Noosa will continue, as they have purchased another property locally,” he stated.

Mr. Offermann characterized the penthouse as a rare offering that seldom comes to market.

He noted that “innumerable memories were created by the first owners over the years.”

“No doubt, the baton will now pass to the happiest family in the world,” he added.

They will enjoy it sparkling new, just as the previous owners did.

Furthermore, Hastings Park has a history of consistent, year-round premium bookings.

This makes the penthouse a wise, one-off investment opportunity for the new owners.

Ms. Offermann stated, “We have handled all of the last 15 sales over $10 million.

I’m confident our long-term commitment to building quality connections is truly benefiting our clients.”

The stunning home located at 9/81 Hastings Street, Noosa Heads, measures 363 square meters.

It is spread over three levels, which include a rooftop deck.

This rooftop deck offers clear views of Main Beach, Hastings Park, and the bustling hub of Noosa activity.
