Riverfront home construction finally begins after decade,
Luxury developer Pikos Group is set to launch its second riverfront project in Brisbane next week.
This new project, named Gaia, is located in Kangaroo Point and construction is about to commence.
The name “Gaia” signifies a strong connection to nature, reflecting the project’s riverfront location.
Additionally, residents will have access to a private parkland and wellness retreat.
This design aims to create a unique living experience that harmonizes urban luxury with the beauty of natural surroundings.
Pikos Group founder and executive director, Pedro Pikos, stated that Gaia has been over a decade in the making.
“Since 2014, we have combined eight individual lots to create over 5,300 square meters of prime river frontage,” he explained.
“This effort provides an exceptional opportunity to develop high-end apartments alongside expansive green spaces that blend with urban and natural environments.”
“Gaia will feature a total of 215 residences, including two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments, across two impressive 15-story towers.”
Moreover, these residences will include world-class amenities and offer excellent connectivity to Brisbane’s pedestrian bridges.
Pikos Group’s chief executive, Michelle Wooldridge, mentioned that Gaia is designed by DKO Architecture to become a luxury urban retreat.
This project aims to merge the vibrancy of city living with the peacefulness of riverside tranquility.

“Gaia’s residences will feature the city’s largest private parkland community, which includes over 20 wellness and leisure zones for residents,” she stated.
“We are thrilled to offer such a unique opportunity along with an exceptional level of amenities close to Brisbane’s center.”
“Spanning over one-and-a-quarter acres, the site provides ample space for extensive amenities and enables residents to connect with nature.”
“Furthermore, the design allows residents to be fully immersed in their natural surroundings, enhancing their living experience.”
“With the parkland, we have integrated over 20 wellness and leisure zones, featuring a riverside pool and pool terrace.”
“This area includes both hot and cold plunge pools, all set among beautifully landscaped gardens for relaxation and enjoyment.”
“The site itself is remarkably tranquil and embraces this peaceful area along the river,” she noted.
“With the upcoming completion of the city’s newest green bridge, the Kangaroo Point peninsula will soon have improved connectivity.”
This enhancement will provide easy walking access to Brisbane’s CBD while preserving the area’s serene, secluded atmosphere.
Additional amenities will include an indoor/outdoor gymnasium, rooftop entertaining spaces, and a garden workshop for residents to enjoy.
Moreover, there will be a yoga lawn, outdoor cinema, private dining room, and a work-from-home lounge available for use.
Both residential towers at Gaia have been strategically oriented to capture sweeping views of the city and the river.
Furthermore, all apartments will feature luxurious internal finishes, including natural stone, timber flooring, and premium appliances for residents’ comfort.
Gaia represents Pikos Group’s second development in Kangaroo Point, following the launch of the ultra-luxurious Skye by Pikos.
Currently, Skye is under construction at River Tce and promises to offer exceptional living experiences.
