World’s largest building begins $75 billion construction,
In the Saudi capital of Riyadh, construction has begun on the world’s largest building, set to surpass all others.
Once completed, this monumental structure, named The Mukaab, will be large enough to contain 20 Empire State Buildings.
The cube-shaped building stretches nearly 400 meters in length, width, and height, making it an architectural marvel.
Within its walls, there will be an entire private city, complete with hospitals, hotels, restaurants, and retail outlets.
At the core of The Mukaab will be a massive domed atrium, housing a towering residential skyscraper.
The dome’s walls will feature holographic projections, allowing residents to feel as if they’re in different places, even other worlds.
Some of the holographic environments include Jurassic landscapes with flying dinosaurs, Martian red plains, and vibrant underwater cities.
This ambitious project is being developed by the New Murabba Development Company, which has shared promotional videos showcasing its futuristic designs.

The futuristic features of The Mukaab don’t end there – it will also include racetracks designed for flying cars.
Scheduled for completion in 2030, the project is estimated to cost approximately $AU75 billion, reflecting its immense scale.
The New Murabba Development Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, is responsible for bringing this vision to life.
However, the building has sparked controversy due to its resemblance to the Kaaba in Mecca, Islam’s holiest site.
Furthermore, the project has been met with criticism regarding labor conditions, especially after an ITV documentary exposed long working hours.
The documentary claimed that workers were required to work over 60 hours a week under difficult conditions, raising concerns.
