North Sydney development: a city oasis,
With the last of her unpacking completed, Evelyn Cummins is now settling into her brand-new luxury two-bedroom apartment in North Sydney.
As the practice manager of an inner-city law firm, she purchased an off-the-plan apartment at AURA by Aqualand two years ago.
Evelyn and her husband have since fallen in love with their new home, enjoying everything it has to offer.
The iconic view of Sydney Harbour was a decisive factor in her choice.
“I realized for the first time in my life that I wanted to look out the window and see Sydney Harbour every day,” Cummins shares.
“When I’m at home, I feel cocooned in a beautifully quiet part of the world while enjoying panoramic views.”
It’s the little details that have truly made the apartment feel like home for Evelyn, enhancing her living experience.
For instance, the TV screens in the gym are positioned at just the right height for an effective workout.
Additionally, the beautiful fittings throughout the apartment contribute to its overall appeal and comfort.
“It’s evident that the architects and design team carefully considered details that might not be noticeable on the plans,” she explains.
“However, these details make a significant difference to the comfort of the home at the end of the day.”
Cummins enjoys watching the morning sun cascade into her living room while observing the boats passing by.
“Watching the ferries cross the harbour feels like a private show just for me,” she adds with enthusiasm.
Furthermore, she plans to use the apartment’s pool and gymnasium regularly to enhance her lifestyle.
From her corner of the world, Evelyn enjoys a quiet atmosphere, accompanied only by the gentle hum of the city.
“It feels like I’m part of a vibrant, living city while still being able to come home to a peaceful oasis,” she says.
With Australia’s largest public transport project, Sydney Metro, right at her doorstep, her daily commute takes less than 15 minutes.
Although she is still settling into the new precinct, Cummins has begun exploring the building’s lively restaurants.
“I’m excited to visit this charming little Japanese restaurant, Genzo, that I’ve noticed on the ground floor, which has great vibes,” she shares.

Cummins enjoys entertaining, so the option to go up a few floors to the private residents’ Skydeck is very appealing.
This Skydeck features a kitchen and a private dining room, providing an ideal space for gatherings and celebrations.
“I’ve lived in several apartments, and I understand the importance of feeling at home in a beautiful space,” she explains.
She appreciates a residence that looks good on the outside while offering functionality, elevated simplicity, and style for everyday living.
A new era for North Sydney
Cummins is among several new residents moving into AURA by Aqualand, which sets a new standard for luxury harbourside living.
Alex Adams, head of sales and marketing, emphasizes that this development is establishing a new precedent in the area.
The project was completed in June, marking the beginning of a multibillion-dollar transformation of North Sydney into a new CBD precinct.
This transformation aims to provide new transport options, more green spaces, and exciting developments in the cultural ecosystem of the area.
Sydneysiders seeking a new lease on life have been settling into the residences at AURA in recent months.
“It’s always the most fulfilling milestone in delivering any project when residents see their trust in us has come to fruition,” Adams notes.
He adds that residents are already forming a vibrant community, and since most buyers are owner-occupiers, this bond will strengthen over time.
They are taking full advantage of their brand-new five-star amenities and enjoying sharing these features with family and friends.
Adams mentions that both professionals and families with children of various ages are purchasing residences at AURA.
The world-class hospitality venues located on the podium level are attracting the broader community, further integrating AURA into North Sydney.
The demographic of buyers has varied since the project launched. Initially, downsizers led the sales, but recently, young professionals and families have emerged as buyers.
They are increasingly choosing the two- and three-bedroom apartments, indicating a shift in the market.
“As the residences are now complete and ready for occupancy, we want new buyers to experience the quality of the build,” Adams explains.
He highlights the luxury materials and meticulous attention to detail that have become synonymous with AURA.
“We’re noticing purchasers opting to ‘rightsize’ into all types of our residences,” he adds.
The connectivity and convenient location of AURA serve as attractive draws, especially with the new Victoria Cross metro station nearby.
Additionally, the new Reddam House vertical school is rapidly taking shape across the street, enhancing the area’s appeal.
